The International Training and Education Center on HIV
Project Overview
The International Training and Education Center on HIV (I-TECH) is a center in the University of Washington's Department of Global Health.
I-TECH clinical mentors work to strengthen the provision of care for people living with HIV and AIDS, tuberculosis, and sexually transmitted infections by assessing and making recommendations for improvements to service-delivery systems. I-TECH accomplishes this through the tracking of training programs, trainers, and trainees. I-TECH partnered with Fuse IQ to develop the TrainSMART system to support these efforts.
Goals
Fuse IQ designed the TrainSMART application around two critical needs, ease of use and accessibility. The data input interfaces are simple, intuitive, and match the paper forms on which the data is often first recorded. The system was built so that any user with an internet connection (even dial-up) can get access. The web interface is permission-based, which allows different user groups to see different facets of the website.
TrainSMART also has robust reporting features including automated reporting and customized reports.
