Fully responsive Drupal 7 multi-site to reach wide, diverse audience
FareStart is a non-profit that provides culinary and life skills training for homeless and disadvantaged individuals in Seattle. FareStart’s national initiative, Catalyst Kitchens, is a member network of social enterprise organizations in communities across North America and Europe.
The project goals were to build a new responsive website that used the latest web technology and reflected FareStart’s brand, mission, and social enterprise businesses, was easy to maintain, and served their multiple audiences effectively.
Fuse IQ redesigned and rebuilt both websites with the Drupal 7 CMS, and they are fully responsive for mobile use. They were developed as a multi-site to share a code base and base theme for ease of maintenance, while allowing for content to be edited separately per site.
FareStart is a very visual and modern site that serves their various constituents such as their culinary trainees, restaurant patrons, and catering customers. Its features include a dynamic Guest Chef Night, a Food Service Partners Map, and a new Online Payments feature.
For Catalyst Kitchens, we implemented a secure member portal for their global network of paid members with premium features including a Resource Library.
For both sites we implemented the Drupal Paragraphs module that gave content editors great flexibility in page layout to showcase their stunning images and make their content "snackable".
FareStart now has a website that reflects their brand and the great work they do and is easier to use. Catalyst Kitchens can now provide more services and value to their growing international member network.
"Key features of our new sites include a cleaner and more attractive design, a more engaging user experience and mobile device-friendliness. Thank you to the team at Fuse IQ for partnering with us to produce two outstanding websites." - Michelle McDaniel, FareStart Chief Development Officer
